Premium Memoir Process

This is the basic interview format I will tailor to the needs of your project.

Please be mindful that a dozen interviews are often required to complete a memoir for one individual.

A memoir for a couple often requires 15+ interviews.

• Discovery Session 60-minute Zoom or in-person

• You’ll work on the Start Your Memoir Kit (I need your answers to tailor interview questions, keep track of family names, etc.)

• Interview 1: Childhood

• Interview 2: Teen Years

• Interview 3: Higher Education/School of Life

• I will write a draft from the first 3 interviews

• You’ll review the draft thus far and return it to me so I can make edits and/or additions.

• Interview 4: Career

• Interview 5: Parents, Grandparents, Significant Relatives

• Interview 6: Spouse - meeting, courtship, wedding

• I will write a draft from these 3 interviews

• You’ll review the draft thus far and return it to me so I can make edits and/or additions.

• Interview 7: Children and Grandchildren

• Interview 8: Hobbies & Travels

• Interview 9: Philosophy/Faith

• I will write a draft from these 3 interviews

• You’ll review the draft thus far and return it to me so I can make edits and/or additions.

• Interview 12: We will go over anything else you want included

  • All photographs are due

• I will make the updates

• You’ll review the updates

• I will format your book for printing with Blurb.com with a simple cover and up to 75 photos

• I will print a proof copy of your book at my cost for your review and make any final edits.

• You can order copies of your book via a private link, or I can order copies for you
